Article Marketing – Writing the Perfect Article

Before you begin using article marketing as an internet marketing strategy, it important that you understand the purpose of article marketing is to get links back to your website in order to generate more traffic to your site, but the underlying benefit is that you are actually branding yourself in the process. By writing valuable content you are giving physical proof that you are an expert in your field. It’s one thing to tell someone you are an expert, but once you start to show them what you know and what they can learn from you, they will want to learn more from you. They will join your email list, the programs you tell them you are having success with and even your join your primary business and, if you are in MLM, this is your ultimate goal. By positioning yourself as a leader, you will attract people to you and people will hunt you down to find out just what it is that is making you so successful and how they can get a piece of the pie. This is also known as attraction marketing and using the article marketing strategy is just one way you can achieve this goal.

So let’s get back to writing articles.

Most article submission sites like the article to be around 500-700 words because this seems to fit nicely on a web page, but most of them will accept articles between 300-2500 words, some more.

Write about a topic you are familiar with. If you’re brand new you’ll need to do some research first. The positive is that there is a lot of information on the net these days and you can easily familiarise yourself with any topic simply by doing a Google search.

You can get useful content from other people’s articles too, just make sure you reword it into your own words.

Sprinkle a few of your main keywords throughout the article, this will help Google pick it up in the search engine when those keywords are searched. Also, try to use your keywords in the title.

Lastly, include your Authors Signature in the resource box. This is the only place you should be posting links to your sites. Many article submission sites will not publish articles with links in the body text, some will not allow affiliate links at all. Read the editors guidelines before submitting your article to ensure you are not violating any rules. Repeated attempts at submitting articles that don’t conform the site’s rules may get you banned from the site.

Don’t forget to include a short sentence about yourself but keep it on topic.
